Trained volunteers are essential to the Boy Scouts of America. The B.S.A.'s mission is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by teaching them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The effectiveness of adult leaders depends on how well they understand the aims and methods of the program. To deliver the promise of Scouting, all volunteers must remember, "Every Youth Deserves a Trained Leader!"
